Getting started with NuWaves is easy. NuWaves accepts Time and Material (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), or Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type purchase orders/contracts.

Time and Material (T&M): Time and Material provides for payment based on specified labor rates, materials, and other direct costs. This method of contract type is used on 80% of NuWaves' contracts. This type of contract is typical for professional design engineering or consulting services. It is appropriate when the extent of the labor and other costs can not be anticipated at the onset of the project or where the project scope is likely to change such as during initial research or specification development.

Firm Fixed Price (FFP): The Firm Fixed Price contract or purchase order is suitable for acquiring products or services that have detailed specifications. The scope of the project should be at a mature stage. Changes in scope requiring change scope orders that are priced separately from the presently funded purchase order.

Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF): The Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract provides for cost reimbursement of labor, materials, and other direct costs plus a fixed fee. This type of contract is typical for research and development procurements that are complex and it would be difficult to estimate the cost.
